We share it only with parties who help us run our business (&#8220;Operators&#8221; under POPIA), and only to the extent necessary. These may include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Our website hosting and email service providers<\/li>\n<li>Our customer-relationship\/lead-management system [e.g. specify CRM]<\/li>\n<li>Our email-marketing platform, if you opt in [e.g. specify, such as Mailchimp\/MailerLite]<\/li>\n<li>Analytics providers [e.g. Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity]<\/li>\n<li>Suppliers, installers or technicians where needed to fulfil your request<\/li>\n<li>Professional advisors, or authorities where we are legally required to disclose<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Every operator we use is required to keep your information confidential and secure, and to process it only on our instructions.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cross-border transfers:<\/strong> Some of our service providers (for example analytics or email platforms) may store data on servers outside South Africa. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information receives a level of protection comparable to POPIA, as required by section 72 of the Act.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>5. Direct marketing<\/h2>\n<p>We will only send you electronic marketing (email, SMS or similar) if you have <strong>specifically opted in<\/strong> by ticking the marketing consent box on our form, or where the law otherwise permits.<\/p>\n<p>You can <strong>withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time<\/strong> \u2014 every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link, or you can email <strong>pranesh@ipoffice.co.za<\/strong> with the word &#8220;Unsubscribe&#8221;. Withdrawing marketing consent will not affect our handling of an active quote or service request.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>6. How long we keep your information<\/h2>\n<p>We keep your personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Enquiries that do not become customers:<\/strong> [e.g. up to 24 months], after which they are deleted or anonymised.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Customers:<\/strong> for the duration of our relationship and for as long afterwards as required to meet legal, tax and warranty obligations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When information is no longer needed, we securely delete or de\u2011identify it.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>7. Cookies and analytics<\/h2>\n<p>Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to function properly, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use the site (for example through [Google Analytics \/ Microsoft Clarity]).<\/p>\n<p>When you first visit, you can accept or decline non-essential cookies through our cookie banner. You can also control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Declining non\u2011essential cookies will not stop you from using the core parts of the site.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>8. How we protect your information<\/h2>\n<p>We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against loss, unauthorised access, and misuse \u2014 including secure hosting, access controls, and SSL encryption on our website.
